Apps for Coparents to change the game

Coparenting is hard. It can be incredibly difficult to coordinate the raising of two children from separate households. It’s hard enough in the same household. Parents realize that more activities and commitments will pop up as the children get older. Enter apps for coparents. Every parent has the desire to prioritize the wellness of their little ones. These three apps use the wonders of technology to make coparenting easier.

Weparent

Weparenting is the first of many apps for coparents. Weparent’s tagline is parenting made simpler. They deliver upon this claim. This App allows you to coordinate and store custody schedules, documents, events, appointments, and so much more. One of the best features of this app is a secure messaging system. This is great for keeping a record of correspondence as well as maintaining communication boundaries. This gap is geared towards divorce and separated families and seems to have a good sense of the unique needs these families may have. They have a 7 day free trial so that you can get a sense of whether this is a good fit for you.

Our Family Wizard apps for coparents

Our Family Wizard is probably one of the oldest and most reputable coparenting apps. They work to achieve positive coparenting outcomes. This app is very and is used by more than a million individuals. The courts have approved this application for families whose history of conflict necessitates communication restrictions. A full range of scheduling, documenting, and “the works.” are available.

Our Family Wizard provides the ability to apply for a fee waiver so this may be a great fit for families where finances are a bit tight. Overall, this app is a great resource. Despite its firm hold on the market, I wouldn’t count out other newer apps. Find the right one for your family needs

Coparently apps for coparents

Coparently is another incredible option among apps for coparents. Similar to the Our Family Wizard this app has been around for a while. Coparently helps you to simplify coparenting and put your child first. The communication feature in this app is very unique. It will label your communication as appropriate and unhelpful. Conversations must be filed under child-related topics. It keeps the communication very business-like and prevents your communication from straying into territory that has nothing to do with your child.

All of these apps are great tools for coparenting. You may have the type of relationship that doesn’t require this level of coordination. However, many parents struggle to effectively communicate about the things that are most important for their children. This is especially common when the relationship ended on a bad note. Even more so if the relationship is still in that grey area and you don’t know what will happen in the future. Coparenting is incredibly difficult and I recommend that clients use all the support they can get. If you are struggling to co-parent with a difficult ex they may not be willing to use this sort of app. If that’s the case don’t worry that is completely on them. You’re doing the best you can and we see you. If you’re looking for ways to improve the coparenting overall check out our free modern family wellness checklist.
