Alejandra Gutierrez, LCSW

Kandyce McConico, MS, LCPC

Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor

I am a licensed psychotherapist and a nationally certified counselor. I specialize in helping individuals and couples meet their needs for connection. I apply well-researched principles of relationship, attachment, and communication to help you explore the impact of childhood trauma and past relationships on your current functioning. I specialize in services for single parents, coparents, blended families, and foster/adoption.

I offer individual therapy for individuals transitioning out of a relationship, experiencing parenting concerns, postpartum depression, difficulty setting boundaries, low self-esteem, and processing unresolved feelings.

I offer couples counseling to dating, married, and co-parenting couples. I work with couples to get to the root of their disconnect, increase communication, and heal from relational ruptures.

You wouldn’t believe the incredible amount of change that is possible when you take the time to intentionally invest in yourself. Throughout this journey you will be able to discover wellness and holistic healing in the places that hurt the most. You will emerge from therapy feeling confident, strong, and empowered. You’ll no longer carry the weight of your past hurts and wounds. You’ll be equipped to engage in a healthier more fulfilling relationship with yourself and others.

Mission and Values

We believe in holistic wellness. Oftentimes your distress presents across a range of wellness dimension. You will be contextualized within the scope of your mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual health.

We value diversity and inclusivity and practice body positivity. This is a space to dismantle structures of oppression, dismiss shame, and embrace your power. We work to interact in a way that informs the many aspects of your cultural identity. You will be viewed accurately within the context of societal forces which influence your experience.

We know that many difficulties stem from old wounds. Past hurts that have never been addressed. We work from a lense of healing. We want to understand how you’ve arrived here and all the significant moments that my have contributed to what is happening in your life. Often, the wounding begins very early in life. We will help you process those past hurts and encourage you to be present in the here and now to begin taking charge of your life. The story you tell yourself about who you are is one of the most important aspects of healing.
