Family Wellness Counseling

Alejandra Gutierrez,LCSW

Licensed Clinical Social Worker

Welcome! Bienvenidos! My therapeutic approach is grounded in the belief that holistic care is crucial to supporting and healing ourselves, our families, and our communities. As a bilingual, bicultural therapist, I actively integrate clients’ cultural identities and strengths into therapy.

Developing a strong therapeutic alliance is my number one goal. I believe that all change comes out of a meaningful connection. I will hear your story so that we can co-create goals that will allow you to live your life with ease, joy, and confidence. I believe you have a story that’s worth telling and I will provide a safe and affirming space for you to speak your truth and explore your inner world with more openness and self love. You will learn to let go of shame and fear.

We will take a holistic approach and consider the various aspects of your life. I will center you, support, and guide you in this healing process.

Mission and Values

Wellness

We believe in holistic wellness. Oftentimes your distress presents across a range of wellness dimension. You will be contextualized within the scope of your mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual health.

Inclusivity

We value diversity and inclusivity and practice body positivity. This is a space to dismantle structures of oppression, dismiss shame, and embrace your power. We work to interact in a way that informs the many aspects of your cultural identity. You will be viewed accurately within the context of societal forces which influence your experience.

Healing

We know that many difficulties stem from old wounds. Past hurts that have never been addressed. We work from a lense of healing. We want to understand how you’ve arrived here and all the significant moments that my have contributed to what is happening in your life. Often, the wounding begins very early in life. We will help you process those past hurts and encourage you to be present in the here and now to begin taking charge of your life. The story you tell yourself about who you are is one of the most important aspects of healing.
